Claude H. Hames III, "Trey", was born in Dallas, Texas, on November 15, 1991, to Claude Hames, Sr. and Velina Hames. His father was a CPA/financial advisor with Verizon. His mother was a CPA in the private sector. His mother became a stay-at-home mom when he was born and went on to home school Trey along with his twin siblings, Thomas and Annie, that were born three years later.
The family lived in a suburb of Dallas - Coppell, Texas, where they were active at First Baptist Church, in Coppell. When Trey was just five years old, he realized he was a sinner and accepted Christ as his Saviour. On a family trip to Israel as a teenager, Trey wanted to be baptized in the Jordan River. It was very meaningful to him.
In 1997 his father passed away after a two-year battle with melanoma skin cancer. The family moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico, a few years later. Trey graduated from high school in 2010. He went to college at New Mexico State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology degree. He worked in the computer field for various companies throughout his working career.
On February 12th, 2024, Trey married Victoria "Tori" Goodwin in Las Cruces, NM. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to Mukwonago, Wisconsin, to start their life together.
Trey passed away and went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 23, 2026. He was 34 years old. He is survived by his beloved wife, Tori and his mother, Velina. He's also survived by his brother and sister, Thomas Hames and Annie (Matthew) Johnson, uncle Jeffrey Lemons, and aunt and uncle, Marion and Stanley Spencer. He is also survived by cousins and other extended family members.
Trey was preceded in death by his father, Claude Hames, Sr., grandparents Claude Hames, I and Elisabeth Deubert Hames, and grandparents Jackie Lemons and Barbara Schoen.
Visitation will be held at Mukwonago Baptist Church, 1610 Honeywell Rd., Mukwonago, on Thursday, April 30th, 2026 at 12 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1 PM. Interment to follow at Baptist Memorial Cemetery.
The family requests that any donations be made in Trey's honor to Mukwonago Baptist Building Fund, 1610 Honeywell Road, Mukwonago, WI, 53149.
