Diane Marie Bernadette Holytz



With deep sadness my sister Diane Holytz has passed away after battling cancer and strokes.


Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Walter and Dorothy (nee Gilbert) Holytz.


She is survived by her sister Janet Holytz, sister Patricia (Dale) Byczynski, nephew Matthew (Carly) Byczynski, other relatives, friends, neighbors of Ridgewood Village Condominium Association, where she served as President of the Board, Polanki Polish Women's Cultural Club of Milwaukee, where she served as Past-President and more recently the History Director and an advisor on the board, Polish Fest and The Polish Center of Wisconsin. She has supported Trimborn Farm and Redeemer Evangelical Free Church Food Bank. A special thank you to Chaplin Stanley H. at Aurora St. Luke's Hospital-Milwaukee who gave her immeasurable support.


Diane dedicated her time charitably to these organizations. On November 21, 2025, Diane was inducted into the International Institute of Wisconsin and Holiday Folk Fair International 2025 Wall of Honor.


Her previous employment included Saxton Paint, Kohls Department Store, The Medical College of Wisconsin and The Polish Center of Wisconsin.


Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 9th, 2026 from 10-10:45 AM at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 3160 S. 63rd St., Milwaukee, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Entombment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 3801 W. Morgan Ave., Milwaukee.


Special thank you to the medical staff at Aurora West Allis Memorial Hospital, Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center-Milwaukee, Milwaukee Rehabilitation Hospital, Autumn Lake Healthcare at Greenfield, Transtar Transport and Always Best Care Senior Services staff and home caretakers.


Diane was known for including tea bags in her greeting cards to friends and relatives.


She will be loved and remembered always for her generous contributions even after her passing.
