Born August 17, 1962, Passed Away on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at the age of 60 years.

David was an amazing tile setter who loved his work and also enjoyed having coffee and donuts with Sasha. He was a lover of Rock-n-Roll, WKLH was his favorite radio station. He was a loving father who adored his sons and grandchildren.

Loving father of Devin Simko and Davin (Victoria Bristow) Heim, and grandfather of Cora Simko and Kaleb Faulkner, and Davin George Heim II “DJ”.

Beloved son of Ellen (Vernon) Martin and the late Leroy Schmidt.

Dear brother of Christine (William Mills) Denny, Rhonda (the late Toad) Stoetzel, Dawn “Putser” (Guy Awonohopay, Sr.) Schmidt, Douglas Schmidt, Connie Schmidt, Sandy Schmidt and Rachel (Joe) Martinez. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his infant son David James Schmidt, his special grandma Nancy Peshek, brothers Mike “Spike” and DINO Schmidt, brother-in-law Toad Stoetzel, nephew Lars Schnell, and his favorite dog and “special girl” Sasha.

Visitation at the Bruskiewitz Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 from 4-7 PM. Funeral Services at the Bruskiewitz Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at 11:30 AM.
