Lawrence "Larry" J. Jacobi

Larry spent his life devoted to his wife of 49 years (+ 7 more), his P.A.L., extended family, and friends.

Larry was born on August 22, 1950 in West Allis, WI to John and Virginia (nee Heinz) Jacobi. He graduated from Pius XI High School in 1968 and then later from Milwaukee School of Engineering with a degree in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. He paid for his schooling working as a Milwaukee Sentinel distributor. After college, he worked for Sears for 45 years. Before his retirement, and until he was unable, he would spend his time volunteering at St. Mary’s Parish in Hales Corners. Larry was known to be a tinkerer--he loved repairing things, especially pocket watches, and tending to his collection of plants.

Survived by his wife Mary Jo, daughters Paula (Andrew Yee) Jacobi of Houston, TX, Angela (Adam) Anderson of West Allis and Laura (Brandon) Wirgau of Milwaukee, grandson Parker and step-granddaughter Sophia. Further survived by other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 4th, 2023 from 9:30 - 10:45 AM at St. Mary Catholic Faith Community, 9520 W. Forest Home Ave., Hales Corners, WI, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Interment to follow at Holy Apostles Cemetery, New Berlin, WI.
