Carol Klockow

Carol Klockow

(Nee Kallman)

Carol Klockow, born January 22, 1936, was called home to the Lord on March 1, 2026.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Carol lived her life with unmatched love, grace and purpose. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Klockow, and now joins him in eternal peace.

Carol is survived by her three children, Brian (Linda), Kurt (Karen), and Susan; her seven grandchildren, Debbie (Dave), Samantha, Lauren (James), Stephen, Joshua (Kaitlin), Jacob (Becky) and Jenna; and her ten great-grandchildren, all of whom were the pride and joy of her life.

Carol dedicated countless hours as a volunteer at the Milwaukee County Zoo and generously sponsored many members of her church community. Her life of faith was rooted at Memorial United Methodist Church in Greenfield, where she was deeply involved in nearly every aspect of church life - from Sunday school and spaghetti dinners, talent shows, rummage sales, Christmas festivities, Seder meals, choirs and bell ensembles. Wherever there was a need, Carol quietly stepped in with steady, loving hands.

She lived an active and adventurous life. Carol loved biking and tennis, and she bowled in a league until the age of 87. She continued walking regularly until just months before her 90th birthday. A proud graduate of Pulaski High School, she organized its annual reunion for many years, keeping classmates connected through her warmth and enthusiasm.

Carol and Don traveled often, but some of her most cherished moments were the family trips to Copp's Cabins in the north woods of Wisconsin. For more than fifty years, she gathered her family there, creating traditions and memories that now span generations. Carol faithfully documented every trip in journals, a treasured gift that her family can now read, relive and pass on.

Above all else, Carol lived to serve her family. She was the foundation, the matriarch, the quiet steady force who made sure every single person felt loved.

She taught patience, kindness and compassion by example. She embraced the ever-changing world with an open heart, listening carefully and striving to understand life through the eyes of her children and grandchildren.

Carol was an extraordinary woman whose love shaped the lives of all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in her family, in her community and in the countless small acts of kindness she offered throughout her life. She will be remembered forever and missed beyond measure.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 3 PM at Memorial United Methodist Church, 3450 S. 52nd St., Greenfield, followed by a Memorial Service at 4:30 PM. Private interment at Wisconsin Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Memorial United Methodist Church or the Alzheimer's Association are appreciated.
