Sharon “Shatzie” D. Noffke

 

On August 2, 2022 at the age of 78, Sharon Noffke was reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband Charles “Chuck” Noffke, her mother and father Irene and Richard “Dick” Price, her sister Kathy Wysocki and pets, Shadow, Taz, Sunshine and Pepi. She was a treasured and loving mom to Ellen Virta and Jason Gaurkee, and their spouses Ed Virta and Jennie Gaurkee. Adoring Grandma to Jordyn and Justin Gaurkee. She was also a loving “mom” to Carol (Dave) Brown, loving grandma to Josh (Ariel) Brown and Naomi (James) Beltran, and great-grandma to Miach, Mary, Braxton, Elaina, and Caleb. She also leaves behind her brother Richard Price, her brother-in-law Leroy (Judy) Wysocki, her favorite cousin, Karen Starck, as well as many friends and family members.

Sharon retired from Wheaton Franciscan as a billing and utilization review expert. She also spent a large part of her career working in the baking industry for both Meurer’s and Grebe’s Bakeries. She was also an amazing gardener and was quite talented in home renovations. Sharon was a big fan of Willie Nelson, The Beatles, and Johnny Mathis, but also very much enjoyed the music of Pearl Jam, Tesla, The Black Crowes, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, and Prince, just to name a few.

Most of all, Sharon was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend to so many people who loved her dearly. Her birthday wishes will be deeply missed by her children and grandchildren.  

Sharon chose not to have a funeral to spare those who loved her the pain of having to say goodbye. However, her family felt it was absolutely necessary to have a Memorial Gathering for all who would like to attend on Saturday, September 10, 2022 from 12:00-4:00 at H.A. Todd American Legion Post 537, located at 9159 West Beloit Road, Milwaukee, WI.
