George Allam

George Allam

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of George A. Allam. George passed away peacefully on May 20, 2026 surrounded by family, leaving behind a legacy defined by generosity, innovation, craftsmanship, and a spirit that lifted the souls of all around him. Born on January 4, 1938 with a brilliant mind, George attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE), later returning as an instructor to share his knowledge with the next generation. His passion for learning and teaching, along with a natural talent for simplifying complex concepts, shaped many lives.

Beyond academia, George built a successful business, driven by his creativity, discipline, and unwavering work ethic. George held his heritage and his hometown Saidnaya dear to his heart with an unwavering commitment throughout his life abroad. He holds a patent for the first digital time displayed in Arabic and was also a gifted Arabic calligrapher with an admired artistic talent. Whether through his help to the community, the elegance of his lettering or the precision of his craftsmanship, he brought beauty into the world in ways both subtle and profound. He loved building things, often losing himself in the joy of creating something with his hands. His compassion and generosity were boundless, and his ready humor along with his signature wink were among his most cherished traits.

George is survived by his devoted wife, Jane, with whom he shared a remarkable life since their marriage in 1967. Though George and Jane did not have children of their own, he was a father figure to many, guiding, encouraging, and supporting those fortunate enough to know him. George is also survived by his younger sister Georgette (late Michel) Noujeime and brother Gus (Fadia), his nieces Rouaida (George) Alcheikh and Maha (Tony) Ziade, and his nephews Riad Allam, Amer (Hiba) Allam, and Samer (Zarife) Allam, and many grandnieces and grandnephews . Family meant everything to George, and he embraced each member with warmth and sincerity.

George’s life was a testament to kindness, creativity, and the quiet strength of a man who gave more than he ever asked for. His memory will continue to inspire all who knew him, and his laughter, wisdom, and generous heart will be deeply missed.

Burial service will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at 11:00 am at St. George Melkite Catholic Church,
