Florence R. Mikna

Passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 12, 2022 at the age of 98.
She was born in Milwaukee on June 23, 1923.  She attended St. Mary’s Academy and earned a Business Administration degree from Marquette University in 1944 where she was a member of Phi Chi Theta.  She was an accountant who loved to travel, golf and play cards, especially sheepshead and bridge.  We will always remember Sunday dinners, card games and picnics at Petrifying Springs Park.
Preceded in death by parents Alois and Hattie (nee Dziennik), sister Esther, sister and brother-in-law Lucille (Mickie) and Allan Hushek and brother Alois.  Survived by sister-in-law Arlene (Kobylczak) Mikna and nieces/nephews David and Karen Hushek, Judy (Hushek)  and Mike Lechtenberg, Sue Hushek, Marge (Hushek) and Ed English, Steve and Laurie (Zillmer) Hushek, Paul and Molly (Murphy) Mikna and Karen (Mikna) and Mark Jazwiecki, 17 great nieces and nephews and 6 great-great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers please send donations to Blessed Sacrament Parish or Elaine’s Hope Memory Care at the Lutheran Home.
Visitation at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 3100 S. 41st St., on Monday, January 24 from 9:30 - 10:45 AM, with eulogies at 10:45 and the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Private interment.
