Evelyn Knopp

Evelyn Knopp

(Nee Kwapick)

Transitioned peacefully on Friday, June 17, 2022 at age 92.  Preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Kenneth (Kenny) Knopp; her sisters, Doris Babcock and Geraldine Sarozek, and brothers, Harold and Gordon Kwapick.
Survived by her daughters, Deborah Knopp and Lynne (Mark) Sullivan; her grandsons, Eric (Christina) Laszewski and David Laszewski; her sister, Audrey Weinstock and brother, Joseph Kwapick. Further survived by extended family and friends.

In grateful appreciation, Evelyn’s daughters recognize with heartfelt thanks:

Mom’s caregiver staff from Synergy Home Care for their kind and compassionate care of Mom; allowing her most fervent wish of remaining in her home to be fulfilled.

Grandson, David whose daily calls were a highlight and brought her much happiness.

Nephew, Robert (Bobby) Kwapick, whose weekly visits she so looked forward to; Bobby’s patience and kindness toward Mom knew no bounds.

Brother, Joseph who Mom said could always make her laugh; which became especially important as she struggled through the challenge of coping with life after Dad’s passing in 2016.

Neighbors, The Huffman Family who embraced Mom as their own and looked out for her with intent and unending kindness. Their presence brought Mom a sense of security and comfort while she strived to stay in her home and maintain an independent lifestyle.

House helper, Liz Stevens who lovingly and patiently cleaned Mom’s castle, shopped and ran errands, brought her delicious breakfast sandwiches and other special treats; and did pretty much anything else that Mom asked of her.

Mailman, Ken who shared her beloved husband’s name and always took a quick minute to say hello and extend Mom special attention. Mom eagerly watched out the window in anticipation of her mail delivery every day.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 27, 2022 at 10 AM at St. Matthias Catholic Church, 9306 W. Beloit Rd., Milwaukee, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Private interment.

IT TURNED INTO A BEAUTIFUL BUTTERFLY.
                                                                                               God’s Peace Evie!
