Aniela Szczerba

Aniela Szczerba, beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother has entered eternal life on March 28th, 2026, age 89. Aniela was born on June 10th, 1936, in Piekielnik, Poland to Jan and Anna Kas.

Aniela was known for her honesty, kindness and humor. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with family and friends.

Aniela is survived by son Slawomir Szczerba (wife Maria), daughter Stanislawa Kocanda (husband Jozef), grandchildren Monika Szczerba, Dariusz Szczerba (wife Samantha), Bozena Kocanda, Adam Kocanda and Krzysztof Kocanda (wife Sara, children Benjamin & Matthew). Aniela is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews and other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 6th, 2026 at 11:00 am at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Parish in Milwaukee (2427 S. 15th St Milwaukee, WI 53215). Visitation will begin at 10:00 am.

Burial services will take place at a later date in Piekielnik, Poland, where Aniela will be laid to rest alongside her late husband, Stanislaw Szczerba.
