Tony L. Clopper

Tony Lee Clopper, age 67, of Milwaukee, died on Wednesday, September 28th, 2022,  in his home. Tony was born on November 15th, 1954, the second child to Harry  and Bernice Clopper. He married Jill Lydia Johnston on October 8th, 1977, b y a Navy Chaplain in Mayport, FL.

He graduated from Pulaski High School, Class of 1972. He joined the United S tates Navy and served his country for 20 years, including abroad in Italy, r etiring in 1994 with the rank of Chief. Following his retirement, Tony went  back to school, graduating with his Associate's Degree in Computer A ided Design (CAD) from John Wood Community College. This major would carry h im through until his second retirement. Tony was a people person and knew n o stranger, so his post work life brought him to Riteway, a courtesy ride se rvice. Through Riteway, he shuttled staff at Froedtert and he also had the p rivilege of transporting fans to Lambeau field, home of his beloved Green Ba y Packers. Either place, his was the shuttle everyone wanted to pull up.

Tony's expertise was broad and there wasn't a vehicle he cou ldn't repair, work on or diagnose. He was a handyman not afraid to t ake on a task, with many do-it yourself projects under his belt. With all o f his achievements, his true passion and greatest accomplishment was the fam ily he built with his wife Jill. Together they raised six children and the l ast eight years he enjoyed the next phase of life as Pop Pop to his two gran dsons.

He is survived by his beloved wife Jill, his children: Katie, Melissa (Micah ), Lori (Sam), Chyanne, Madison, Zachariah; his pride and joy, 2 grandsons B en (Lori and Sam) and Holden (Melissa and Micah); siblings: Kenneth (Julie),  Daryl (Darlene), sister Cheryl, sister-in-law Heather, and numerous nieces a nd nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Harry, mother Bernice, a nd brothers Glenn and Teddy.

A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held on Friday, October 7t h, 2022 at Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, 5901 Westway, Greendale, WI 53129, with visitation beginning at 10 AM, followed by the Funeral Service at 11 AM. 

In lieu of flow ers, memorials are requested to be made to the Fisher House in his name. Fisher House is  a home away from home for families of Veterans who are patients at the VA H ospital.
