Samuel "Ernesto" Ambriz

Samuel "Ernesto" Ambriz, age 71 of Morelia, Michoacán passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2020.

Ernesto was a native of Manza, Michoacán. He settled in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1976 where he made a name for himself within the Hispanic Southside community. Ernesto, who was often referred to by his peers and colleagues as “Ambriz” was a well-known respected entrepreneur. In the beginning of his career he became a radio and television broadcaster. At this time he also gained popularity as a music promoter. In his later years he went on to become a successful business owner of Eliel’s Video and Zapateria Dos Amigos. Ernesto took enormous pride in becoming a self made businessman. It was a life long dream of his, as it allowed him the ability and flexibility to provide and spend more time with his family who he cherished.  Even after his passing, his legacy will live on with the very last name he was known by.

He is survived by his wife Sarah Ambriz of 43 years. 

He is the loving son of Angela Carranza (the late Erasto Ambriz).

Devoted father to Hugo Jacobo, Jose Eliel, Angela, Erica (Raul), Mariza and Mariano Ambriz.

Siblings: Martina, Ernesto, Irene, Carmen and Mario Ambriz.

Beloved grandchildren: Daniella Jacobo, Daisia, Damani and Delani Ambriz, Daniel Jr. "Chubby" and Gracee Nadboralski, Meekah and Khaleo "Kali" Rivera, Ema, Lia and Teo Martinez, and Justin and Jayden Cain.

He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his siblings in Heaven: Abraham, Ana B. Araceli, Freddy "Sijifredo" and Aurina Ambriz.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, November 8th, 2020 from 1:00 - 3:30 PM at the Bruskiewitz Funeral Home, 5355 W. Forest Home Ave., in Milwaukee, WI.
