Born to Eternal Life May 23, 2019 at the age of 96 years.

Beloved wife of the late Henry Sr. Loving mother of Henry Jr. (Karen), Kathleen (Michael) Karklus and Thomas (Geri). Cherished grandmother of 10 and great grandmother of 14. Fond sister of Irene Gnacinski and brother David (Nancy) Tucholka. Ruth was preceded in death by sisters Dorothy, Margie, half sister Lonnie and brothers Robert, Johnny, Jack and Carl. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m, followed by a service at 1:00 p.m.

Ruth was the second child of John and Louise Tucholka, born on May 7, 1923. Ruth graduated from South Division High School at the age of 16. She did babysitting to earn money til she turned 18. She was then employed by the Telephone Company as a telephone operator. Ruth’s favorite job was working at West Allis Memorial Hospital as a senior nurses aide in Central Supply. Her last position before retirement was working at the Milwaukee Post Office for many years as a letter sorter, at which she excelled. 

Ruth and Henry Sr. met through her brother Johnny. Ruth and Henry Sr. married on July 10, 1943. 

Ruth was self taught on guitar, concertina, and organ. She was an accomplished painter. Ruth excelled in watercolor, oils and acrylics. Ruth and Henry Sr. were avid golfers. After retirement, they spent half of the year in Florida and half in Milwaukee, to remain near their children and grandchildren. When their children were younger, they enjoyed many camping trips as a family. Their children cherished these years. Ruth and Henry Sr. enjoyed travel across the country, as well as internationally. Ruth always thoroughly enjoyed being a grandmother, enjoying time spent with her grandchildren throughout the years. She will be dearly missed.
