Richard C. "Dick" Tylke

Richard Christopher Tylke, of East Troy, Wisconsin, went to be with Jesus on September 8, 2020 at the age of 86.

Dick was born on December 14, 1933 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Casimir and Alice (nee Dudek) Tylke.  He served 2 years during the Korean War and 8 years in the Army Reserves.  He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Dick was proud of his 42 years of working at Allen Bradley (Rockwell Automation).  During his retirement years, he would take his granddaughters to Rockwell Automation’s Annual Spaghetti UPAF fundraiser for the Arts where he would show them around where he worked and together they would explore the views from the clock tower.  

Beloved father of Richard Tylke, Jr, Sandra (James) Brown, James (Lynn) Tylke and former daughter-in-law, Kari Tylke.  Treasured Papa of Melissa Tylke, Meghan Tylke, Nicholas (Amanda) Brown, Bradley Brown, Jeffrey Brown, Mitchell Brown, Gregg Tylke and Christine (Rick) Hansen. Dear brother of Kenneth (Sharon) Tylke. Further survived by great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by sons, Mark and Daniel, his parents Casimir and Alice, and his brother, Milton.

Thank you to Ascension Hospice Team, especially Adon and Shawnise, for their caring and support.  And a special thank you and hugs to Cindy Taylor for the amazing care she provided to Dick and of course, the perfect over-easy eggs that only she could make.

Visitation will be held at the Bruskiewitz Funeral Home, 5355 W. Forest Home Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53220, on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm. Private burial will take place on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at St. Adalbert Cemetery.
