Paul Proell, Jr.

Paul A. Proell Jr. was born into peace on July 21st, 2020 after a long struggle with declining health.

Paul was born August 22nd, 1951 into a family of 6 children. He served in the Vietnam conflict as a Marine from 1969-1971 and worked for over 20 years as an auto technician for AAmco service.

Paul met and enjoyed a 39-year relationship with his life partner Merry Hinz who survives him, along with their fur babies Saphira and Annie. He is survived by his brother Mike Proell, sister Lorraine Proell, and brother Randy Harstvedt. He is also survived by brothers in law Charles (Darlene) Hinz, Jerold (Edith) Hinz, sister-in-law Sandy Hinz, god-daughter Michelle Ochoa, and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and coworkers. Preceded in death by his parents Jean and Paul Proell Sr., sister Karla Harstvedt, brother Albert Harstvedt Jr., mother and father-in-law Marilousie and Frank Hinz, brother-in-law Laurence Hinz, and sister-in-law Lois Hinz.

Memorial services will be held at the Bruskiewitz Funeral Home (5355 W. Forest Home Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53220) on Thursday, August 13th, 2020 from 4:30 – 6:30 PM, with a religious service and military honors at 5:30 PM. Private burial will take place at a future date at Wood National Cemetery.
