Paul J. Ihlenfeld

Paul Ihlenfeld, 77, Passed away on February 8th, 2024. He died peacefully with family by his side.

He was the loving husband and best friend of Colette, his wife of 49 years.

Paul was the proud father of Michelle. Doting grandpa of Tori Schmus (Blake Cynor), Brittany Schmus (Meier Russell) and Jonathan Schmus.

He was the caring brother of Marie Amble, Otto, Joe (Bev) and Daniel (Bessie) Ihlenfeld. Further survived by many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Mary Ihlenfeld, sister Kathleen Nordby, and brother-in-laws Gerald Amble and Dean Nordby.

Paul proudly served his country as a U.S. Army medic in Vietnam. He retired as a bricklayer from the City of Milwaukee DPW and was a 50+ year member of the Bricklayer's Local #8 Union.

Because he was a huge animal lover, donations to the Wisconsin Humane Society, if desired, would be appreciated.

The family would like to give special thanks to St. Croix Hospice and The Waters of Oak Creek Memory Care Unit for their skillful and loving care.

Visitation Thursday, February 15th, 2024 at 4 PM at the Bruskiewitz Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 6:30 PM. Private interment at Southern WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove, WI.
