Matthew Steven Knutowski, 23, of East Troy, Wisconsin, died on August 17, 2023, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. He was born on June 21, 2000, in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, to Steven Knutowski and Deborah (Zampanti) Garcia. Matthew is survived by his mother and stepfather, Deborah and Leonardo Garcia; two brothers, Ryan Bellovary (Michelle), Samuel Garcia; three sisters, Meagan Sumter (Aiden), Danielle (Knutowski) McAtee (Tiffany), Rachel Knutowski; three stepbrothers, Leonardo Garcia, Jr., Jessie Garcia (Monica), Chato Garcia (Jenna); three stepsisters, Jessica (Garcia) Santos (Pete), Andrea (Garcia) Rojas (Arthur), Anthonia Garcia (Frankie). He is further survived by four aunts and five uncles, Laurie (Knutowski) Skusevich (Robert), Jose and Veronica Faz, Brian Knutowski, Carolyn and Stafford Pulford, Belinda and Nolan Roberts, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
Matthew was preceded in death by his father Steven Knutowski and stepsister Angelica Garcia.
Matt enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his little brother Sammy. He also enjoyed going on hikes and walks as he journeyed back to God the last two years of his life. He would read his Bible and spend time with the Lord, and he loved to witness to people. Matthew loved working with his big brother Ryan and spending quality time with him, as well as learning several different jobs Ryan taught him. Matt was loving, kind, and selfless and would help anybody, even at his own expense. He would always tell his family, “I do not need money where I will be going someday or any material things, so I would rather help people down here who need it.” Matt was one-of-a-kind, and he will be missed so very much.
A visitation for Matthew will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 from 10:30 AM - 12:00 Noon, at Mukwonago Baptist Church. The funeral will begin at 12:00 Noon, followed by a graveside service at Baptist Memorial Cemetery.
