Mary Ann Molke

Mary Ann Molke

Mary Ann Molke, age 78, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 26th, 2020 at the Zilber Family Hospice Center in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.

Mary was born on February 8th, 1942 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She attended Notre Dame High School and Spencerian College. She met her husband, Robert Molke after being set up by mutual friends. They were married on June 24th, 1972. Together they had three children, Tom (Tammy), Joe (Carrie) and Jenny (Craig Serio). She was a beloved grandmother to eight: Alex and Matthew Molke; Grant, Gavin and Logan Molke; and Samantha, Mckella and Sydney Serio.

Mary lost her father, George Rosenbauer in 1960 at the age of 18 and her mother, Hedwig Rosenbauer (Dobner) in 1970 at the age of 28. As an only child, Mary’s aunt Caroline Paulus and cousins Donald, John, Gerald, David, Leo and Linda adopted her as a daughter/sister. Mary was a loving “aunt” to many nieces and nephews.

Mary made many friends over the years including life-long friendships, many of whom become part of her family too. She loved to do arts and crafts with her “club” of friends. Mary was generous, kind, thoughtful, positive, and full of joy. She had a laugh that was unforgettable. She never forgot a birthday, holiday, or anniversary. She was the kind of person that the world needs more of. She will be missed by many.

Mary worked at Johnson Controls, Aurora Medical Clinic, and retired from Kohl’s Department Store.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 2nd, 2020 at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, 16000 W. National Ave. in New Berlin (invite only). Burial will follow (@11am) at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 3801 W Morgan Ave. in Milwaukee, WI. (Cemetery grounds could hold more people with social distancing restrictions).

In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a GoFundMe page to collect donations in Mary’s name to give back to the people and places that have helped her and her husband over the last 5 years of her life. Please donate as you see fit.

The family also requests that you plant purple flowers in your garden in her honor as that was her favorite color.
