Linda Marie Winslow
Linda Marie Winslow
Linda Marie Ginnis Winslow passed away suddenly on October 27, 2021 at the age of 58 in her newly-adopted home town of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Linda was a loving mother, dog-mom, and (very young) grandmother, a caring daughter, sister, niece, aunt and friend, and a dedicated colleague. Through her recent significant health issues, she has shown her strength, courage and resilience in facing life's challenges.
She grew up loving theater and dance but a knee injury - and her more pragmatic side - resulted in her changing her major and receiving a degree in business from De Paul University. She was also a long-time vegetarian and life-long animal lover, with many beloved family pets over the years ranging from dogs and cats to hamsters, mice, rats, assorted fish and lizards, and whatever else the kids brought home. Linda also enjoyed the thrill of the casino and found some great luck in the pull of the slot machine handle. She loved to bake and was passionate about interior design and jewelry-making and, more recently has created some beautiful furniture pieces using a variety of innovative decorative painting techniques.
Linda was dedicated to her family and is survived by three fantastic daughters, Lauren (Chris) Ekins, Samm (Brett) Wilhelm, and Sydney Winslow, three beautiful grandchildren (Kate and Fin Ekins and Noah Wilhelm), her sister Patricia Ginnis (Paul Vinopal), niece Claire Vinopal (Rebecca Fuller), aunt (Esther Wallace), beloved aging Sheltie, Mia, her colleagues at BrightStar Care, and numerous extended family members and friends.
A visitation and memorial is planned for Monday November 1, 2021 from 2-4 pm at the Bruskiewitz Funeral Home, 5355 W. Forest Home Ave., Milwaukee, WI. In lieu of flowers, please honor Linda's lifelong love of animals with a donation to Friends of MADACC
