John M. Gebhardt

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at age 88.

Dearest cousin of Sieglinde "Linda" Meixner. Dear brother of Bernhard (Margaret) Gebhardt. Uncle of Josef (Alexia) Gebhardt, Marian (Johannes) Wunder and Hilmar (Tanja) Gebhardt. Great-uncle of Nicolas, Lucas, Paula, Sena and Moritz.

John was born in Kirchehrenbach, Germany (near Nuremburg) in 1934. He immigrated to the US in 1963, and enrolled in the Engineering program at Marquette University which launched his career as an HVAC Engineer for Children's Hospital where he worked for 34 years.

John was a great neighbor and friend who was always there for anyone who needed help. He was very active in the Milwaukee German Community, especially with the Milwaukee Liederkranz and Carl Schurz Park. John and Linda enjoyed traveling and made many trips to Germany as well as out West.

Visitation Tuesday October 18, 2022 from 9:30-10:45 AM at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 1755 N. Calhoun Rd., Brookfield, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Entombment St. Joseph Cemetery, Waukesha.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Carl Schurz Park, PO Box 387, Hartland, WI 53029, are appreciated.
