Joan C. Ewert

Passed away peacefully on Monday, September 21, 2020 at the age of 79.

Beloved wife of the late Robert. Loving mother of the late Heidi (Ronald) Yocum, Holli (Steve) Johnson, Gregory (Jenn), Heather (Jeff) Benjamin and David. Dear grandmother of Ronald, Rachel (Jimmy), Ashley, Zachary, Madison and Paige, and great-grandmother of Bella and Heidi. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Joan was a very strong and upbeat person who never complained and was very selfless when it came to her family’s needs. She was an avid reader, Packers fan, had a great sense of humor and loved to talk.

Visitation at the Bruskiewitz Funeral Home, 5355 W. Forest Home Ave., Milwaukee, on Thursday, September 24, 2020 from 5 - 8 PM.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 3722 S. 58th St., Milwaukee, on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 12 Noon (PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH). Please enter the church via the wheelchair accessible door located off the parking lot on the east side of the church.

Private interment will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove, WI.

As a breast cancer survivor, the family would appreciate memorials in lieu of flowers to the Susan G. Komen For The Cure Breast Cancer Foundation.
