James R. Goessel

James (Jim) Goessel (a.k.a. "Goesseloni") was born in Milwaukee, WI on July 25th, 1931. Born to Robert & Caroline, he was one of five children who was extremely proud of his German Heritage.

In High School he was an All-star basketball player. He could carry a tune & often boasted about his time in the Rufus King boys choir. He was famous for calling everyone on their Birthday to serenade them.

Upon Graduation, he was drafted by the U.S. Army & served in the Korean War in the 187th regiment, of the 101 Airborne infantry division.

After returning home from his tour, he met and married the 'always stunning' Shirley. Together they had three beautiful daughters; Sandra, Gayle & Susan.

In life, he was an avid runner and a hard working & dedicated employee. He worked as a supervisor for, and retired from the Chrysler Motor Corporation.

He loved to laugh and had a sense of humor like no other. He was extremely supportive and always there to listen; offering up his wisdom and kind words of advice. He had a heart of gold and will truly be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Preceded in death by his wife, Shirley.
He is survived by his daughters: Sandy, Gayle & Sue. His Grandchildren: Nicole (Nicki) Ostrowski (Kris Pohl), Andrew (Wesly) Dundon (fiancee Melissa Czerwinski) , Jessica (Aaron, Caleb, Chase) Haglund. His sister Marion (Larry) Klug, Nephew Bill Leishman & other close friends of the family.

♥️♥️♥️ God saw him getting tired and a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around him and whispered, "Come to me".
With tearful eyes we watched him suffer, and watched him fade away. Although we loved him dearly, we could not make him stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands put to rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best. ♥️♥️♥️
