Gordon Berendt

Born to Eternal Life on Monday, November 29, 2021 at age 91.

Gordon was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret, his oldest son, Andrew and his brothers, Roman and Daniel. He is survived by his children Susan Dietrich, Joseph (Dawn), Mary Lou Berendt, Nancy (Dennis) Meske, Tony (Vicki), Jane (Michael) Meske, Gerard (Mary) and daughter-in-law Kathleen (Curran) Berendt. He also leaves behind grandchildren Adam (Holley) Berendt, Heather (Frederic) Gray, Rex (Kelie) Berendt and Parker Berendt; and great-grandchildren Carter, Noelani, Peyton, Maleia, Grayson, Malachi, Amairah, Chloe, Gideon and Asher. Gordy is also survived by his sister Marlene Devlin and brothers-in-law Joseph (Connie) Krucky, Jr and Robert (the late Mary Ann) Krucky and many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Gordon was born in Milwaukee, WI on March 16, 1930, to Roman and Victoria Berendt. He grew up in Milwaukee and was baptized at St Josaphat’s Basilica. He attended school there, at Riley School and Boys Tech. He joined the U.S.M.C. in 1951 but was medically discharged. He worked for the City of Milwaukee’s engineering department as a surveyor and road designer for over 40 years and retired in 1990. Gordon was a proud member of Great Lakes Sport Fisherman's Club and the Captain of his boat, "My Little Margie".

Visitation at the Bruskiewitz Funeral Home on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 12 PM, followed by a prayer service at 4 PM. Private entombment St. Adalbert Cemetery.
