Doris Fischer

Doris Marie Fischer, age 65, passed away peacefully at her home in Shorewood, Wisconsin, on May 27, 2025, due to natural causes. Doris held her family close and played an unforgettable role in each of their lives.

Born on August 27, 1959, Doris was known for her intuitive soul and her deep love for her family and friends.

Doris is survived by her brother Delbert (Joan) Fischer; cousins Joanne (Chris), Kurt (Jan); nieces and nephews Kristine (Justin), Patrick (Maribeth), Trenny (Scott), and Scott (Jodi); great-nieces and nephews Kaitlyn, Easton, Noah, Hudson, Corinn, Jacob, Ryan, and Nathan; and great-great-nephews Liam and Rowen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Fischer, Delores Fischer (Richard), sisters Diane Fischer and Darlene Springob (Jerry), aunt Helen Zielski, cousin Dale Nelson, and great-nephew Justin Huber.

Doris was a truly special soul—intuitive, kind, and deeply caring. She had a unique way of seeing the world, always offering fresh ideas and wisdom. For over 47 years Doris worked as a talented artist in the world of cosmetology, owning Blue River Moon Salon and Body Works (the name a tribute to the song she and her father loved). Doris gave others confidence through her incredible skill and warm presence. She cared deeply about the well-being of those around her and lived with intention. Doris brought her creative energy and infectious laugh wherever she went. She will be remembered for her genuine heart, beautiful spirit, and the lasting impact she made on all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life for Doris will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Smoke on the Water, located at N50W35016 Wisconsin Ave, Okauchee, WI 53069.

Light appetizers will be provided, and a cash bar will be available. Guests are invited to gather, socialize, and enjoy photos from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, with a memorial program beginning at 2:00 PM, including a time of remembrance during which guests are welcome to share stories. 

Guests are encouraged to to wear tropical attire in the spirit of her love for all things island inspired. 

Doris would want this day to be filled with fun, laughter, love, and good company — just as she lived her life.
